DuPont Honors Potter Anderson & Corroon for its Legal Contributions

WILMINGTON, Del. – DuPont named Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP the only Delaware law firm to receive a DuPont 2007 Challenge Award at its Primary Law Firm Annual Meeting. The award recognized the firm as one of the best among an elite group of DuPont primary law firms.

DuPont’s primary law firms are part of a network of strategic partners that provide substantive legal advice for DuPont, and contribute to and support the advancement of the DuPont Legal Model’s objectives. DuPont recognized Potter Anderson for its sustained contributions to the DuPont Legal Model, particularly for its outstanding legal services in the areas of M&A and pension related litigation.  The firm was also honored for its collaboration with other primary law firms, contributions and support of the Legal Model, and commitment to diversity in the legal profession.

DuPont designed the Challenge Award in 1996 to acknowledge the accomplishments of its outside law firms and service providers in supporting the DuPont Legal Model.

At the same event, Potter Anderson partner Kathleen Furey McDonough received the annual Themis Award from the DuPont Women Lawyers’ Network (DWLN).  This award is presented annually to a woman in the Network who embodies the mission of the DWLN, which is to positively impact the business of DuPont by promoting legal excellence through the success, development and professional advancement of the women lawyers representing DuPont. Ms. McDonough was honored for her efforts in mentoring junior female lawyers and increasing the visibility of women, and her extensive community involvement and career achievements.
