Potter Anderson & Corroon Attorneys to Serve as Faculty for Tulane's 12th Annual Corporate Law Institute April 2008
WILMINGTON, Del. – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP partners Michael D. Goldman and Michael B. Tumas will serve as faculty for the 12th Annual Corporate Law Institute at Tulane University on April 3 and 4. Sessions will be held at the Westin New Orleans Canal Place in New Orleans.
Goldman will co-moderate the panel “Enhanced Ethics and Professionalism: Issues in Business Litigation and Corporate Practice” that will examine the representation of a company and its directors in derivative suits, class actions and investigations. Goldman will also take part in a special recognition ceremony for the Honorable Andrew G.T. Moore, II, former Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court and driving force behind the Corporate Law Institute.
Tumas will serve on the panel “Delaware Developments” that will discuss developments in Delaware law, including decisions on the conduct of stockholders’ meetings and voting rights, stock option backdating litigation, corporate dissolution and other hot topics within the state’s business law realm.
Potter Anderson has been recognized by the Corporate Law Institute for its contributions and support in the establishment of a post-Hurricane Katrina development fund for the Institute and the Tulane Law School.
Goldman and Tumas are both partners in the firm’s corporate practice group, and Tumas is currently the chair.
