Potter Anderson Elects Theresa Brown-Edwards and Brian Ralston as Partners January 2007
WILMINGTON, Del. – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Theresa V. Brown-Edwards and Brian C. Ralston have been elected as partners.
Theresa V. Brown-Edwards, previously an associate, practices in corporate restructuring and has significant experience representing Chapter 11 debtors and debtors-in-possession. She also focuses on the protection of creditors’ rights, including, but not limited to the representations of creditors’ committees, second lien committees, lenders, landlords, equipment and aircraft lessors and trade creditors. She received her B.A. from Cornell University and her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. In addition, she serves as Vice Chair of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation - DE Network and holds several positions with the Delaware State Bar Association, including Executive Board Member-at-Large; Special Advisor and Immediate Past Chair of the Multicultural Judges & Lawyers Section; and Member of the Bankruptcy Law Section.
Brian C. Ralston, also previously an associate at the firm, practices primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, with extensive experience in stockholder class and derivative actions relating to mergers, acquisitions, tender offers and proxy contests, statutory proceedings pursuant to the Delaware General Corporation Law, and proceedings involving the internal corporate governance of Delaware corporations. With an emphasis on defense representations, he has been involved in a number of recent significant corporate law cases, including Oracle v. PeopleSoft, In re Cysive, Inc. Shareholders Litigation, In re Pure Resources Shareholders Litigation, In re Aquila, Inc., and In re Siliconix Inc. Shareholders Litigation. He received his B.A. from Villanova University and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
