Potter Anderson Lands Six Attorneys in Lawdragon “3000 Leading Lawyers in America” and One in Lawdragon 500

WILMINGTON, Del. – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that six of its partners have been named to Lawdragon’s “3000 Leading Lawyers in America” list, representing less than one percent of the legal profession.  The firm had more Delaware attorneys listed than any other firm.  Those named to the Lawdragon 3000 are:  John F. Grossbauer; Richard L. Horwitz; Mark A. Morton; Michael B. Tumas; Scott E. Waxman; and Donald J. Wolfe, Jr.

Mr. Wolfe was also named to the Lawdragon “500 Leading Lawyers in America” list, which will be featured in Lawdragon’s Fall magazine, due out Oct. 15.  He was one of only three Delaware corporate litigators to make the list.

According to Lawdragon, those listed on the 3000 list set “the standard for the best of the legal profession” and “are the most elite group of legal professionals compiled.”  Its 500 Leading Lawyers list is the highest honor bestowed upon “the very best in the legal profession,” and “they share an elite status that other great lawyers aspire to achieve.”

Those on the Lawdragon 500 were chosen from the Lawdragon 3000 and will be featured in the print publication.  Inclusion in the final 500 is based on number and quality of votes, how "of-the-moment" a particular practice area or case is, and the impact the individual has on the profession overall.  

Both guides are selected through a combination of online balloting and independent research.  Lawdragon reporters and editors interview thousands of lawyers to get their input on the top "Dragons" in any region or practice field and also collect votes through its online ballot.  Lawdragon surveys the quality of the votes an individual receives while acknowledging the quantity of votes.  Based on that combination as well as vetting of recent cases and activity, the guide reflects geographic and practice diversity while always underscoring excellence.
