Mr. Baldwin represents corporate clients in business matters, including bankruptcy and commercial litigation; insurance coverage litigation, in which he represents policyholders against their insurance companies regarding product liability, environmental and other claims; and alternative dispute proceedings, including arbitration and mediation.

Representative Matters
Mr. Baldwin has handled cases in numerous federal and state courts throughout the country. Recently, on behalf of Credit Suisse First Boston and Jefferies & Company, he tried to a successful conclusion a valuation proceeding in the Bankruptcy Court concerning a New Orleans oil tank farm. He currently represents a major pharmaceutical company in litigation to obtain insurance coverage for the defense of toxic tort claims filed against the company. In another case, Mr. Baldwin assisted distributors of generic fen-phen components in obtaining insurance coverage for the products. He also served as trial counsel for Hoechst Celanese Corporation in a successful effort to obtain insurance coverage for product liability claims involving plastic plumbing systems. The National Law Journal called the jury's verdict in that case one of the "most significant verdicts of 1997."
